In July 2020, Peter Rothenbücher’s sons – Axel and Christian Rothenbücher – took over Carolinenruhe Castle in Colmdorf from the Popp family. In July 2020, the family decided to begin restoration work on the castle building and renovate the roof.
The first exclusive hotel rooms Wilhelmine and “Reitzenstein” were completed in August 2024, room “Friedrich” followed in July 2025. You can choose from three stately double rooms and reside in a privatim manner.

We will take care of your guests, of beverages and caterin. Inquire with us
Colmdorf 8, 95448 Bayreuth. Königsallee out of town and then left after the bridge. Parking spaces for cars and bicycles available. We are dog-friendly.
